Solution enhances user experience by providing seamless access and boosts operational efficiency without compromising security
AUSTIN, Texas, November 15, 2022 – HID has been announced as the winner of the Product of the Year - Access Control award category of the 2022 Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence
The awards, which recognise outstanding organizations, individuals, and solutions from within the security industry, are now in their 26th year and widely considered as the annual industry benchmark.
Organised by the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL), the event was held in conjunction with the 7th annual Outstanding Security Performance Awards (the OSPAs) and the 11th annual Australian Security Medals Awards.
HID’s entry to the awards focused on the HID Mobile Access solutions, a proven technology which is designed to enhance the user experiences of managing physical access control and interacting with touchpoints such as access to doors, gates, networks, services and more, in a highly secure manner.
The award nomination called for an example of the technology in use. HID presented a recent deployment of its mobile access solutions at property investment and funds management firm Charter Hall, demonstrating how the HID Mobile Access solution and HID® Signo Readers® solved a range of business challenges.
The solution allows any compatible mobile device to house a credential for access control. It significantly enhances tenant and employee experiences, increases convenience, and boosts operational efficiency without compromising security. As such, Charter Hall and its tenants are realising significant savings through greater productivity, now managing access building-wide through a single app called Charli and streamlined remote credentialing.
Savings are also realised through the elimination of costs associated with issuing physical access cards, as well as deactivating and replacing them when they are lost or stolen.
An independent panel chaired by an ASIAL representative judged each nomination based on the criteria set out for each award category.
Steve Katanas, Regional Head, Mature Markets, ANZ, Physical Access Control Solutions at HID, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
He stated: “This is a significant award for HID, recognizing the innovation of our solutions and the dedication of the team behind them. The deployment at Charter Hall demonstrates how technology can build upon existing access control infrastructure to bring new levels of user convenience and operational efficiency. We are honored to be recognized by our peers, and this award will empower us to continue excelling in the Australian market.”
